Double R Builders builds homes in the Central Texas area, and at present is building in the Lake Travis and Lakeway areas of Austin.

The Team

This husband and wife team brings collectively more than seven decades of management and residential building experience to Double R Builders.

George consulted on and executed product and project marketing and financial feasibility studies for some of the largest US corporations as well as managed several entrepreneurial projects prior to forming his own residential development and building company many years ago.

Gretchen’s career has developed her natural ability of project management and quality control. Her sense of quality control, scheduling and budget control makes her a natural to oversee the site operations. When not in the field, she is contributing to design conceptualization and refinement to meet budget objectives and the current market demands.

The Mission

Double R Builders brings together the best of homebuilding. It is their mission to bring fine design and quality energy sensitive construction at the best price possible to every home they build. They take pride in paying attention to the details. No matter what the budget, their homes are always where luxury meets affordability. This attitude has twiced earned them builder industry awards and recognition and an Energy Star rating on their latest custom home.

Double R Builders adheres to the Texas Residential Construction Commission adopted limited warranties of one year on workmanship and materials, two years on mechanical and delivery systems, and ten years on structure and habitability.

Current Projects

Double R Builders is currently completing a home in the gated community of The Villas at Commander’s Point in the Lake Travis area of Austin available in August, 2008. It is a beautiful two story home with attention to energy efficiency in addition to the abundant upgrades. What’s New

Double R Builders has been selected as the feature story and cover of Builder/Architect magazine in an upcoming issue. Twelve builders are chosen each year from the top 5% of the total builders in the area. This honor goes to the builders who are regarded by their suppliers, peers and others as one of the areas premier builders.

A recently completed home in Lakeway, Texas has earned an Energy Star rating. Double R Builders has selected this home as their entry in the 2009 Energy Value Housing Award Competition. Read more about this on the Green Living Page.
